Those were actually Pick-Plays where a Patriots player blocked the man assigned to cover them - very illegal & should be offensive PI if you're talking about the 2 that happened during this game.  The previous game had a blown assignment.

My problem w/ Philips in the 2nd game was that he refused to go away w/ covering whomever that was split out wide (a running back?) with a linebacker when it was obvious to everyone that the linebacker was incapable of covering him.  The first time - OK.  The 2nd time - dammit, what are you thinking?  The 3rd time?  Jesus Christ, Wade - freaking STOP IT.

Well, besides Lincoln for one.  I'm certain there have been others - Thomas Jefferson being another, I believe.

I have no more hope for our country until the current generation holding its leadership firmly in its grasp dies out.  Hopefully it still recognizably exists when that happens so that a more rational leadership can pick up the pieces and move forward to take on the issues BOTH parties correctly signify as important.

There are rules, how does that equate to efficient coaching.  If you openly know that a coach, QB, RB or any other facet of a team can only get you so far and no further, why would you maintain course and not seek to improve?  That is like keeping Lovie Smith for 9 years.  There comes a point where the writing is on the wall.  

This is Schaub's 6th NFL season, I think we have a large enough sampling size to evualate his perdormance at this point.

Kubiak took over the Texans in 2006.  Safe to say he has had his shot.  He is a .500 coach with 2 play-off wins.  How long is an owner supposed to keep a coach?

The Texans were 11-1 and then puked on their own shoes dropping all the way to the #3 seed and got destroyed in the divisional round.  I fail to see how that can be considered a success.

I think Kubiak has a greater potential than LSmith to reach , and win, the Super Bowl. A lot of what p.o.'d Emery abt Smith was the way Smith handled the media. To Emery, it was important to what makes a leader

.So, as long as Kubiak is a guy with a positive outlook and a better plan than any other to take this team to the Super Bowl, then you keep him. Plus, the Bears are an aging group on Defense, and the Texans still seem to have some younger players who can turn it up a notch to help them win. In the Texan's case, i think stability is called for.

Now, if you can show me another candidate who can do it better, right now, then maybe I'd listen. But I would still let the pot come to a cool chill before I launched Kubiak and Phillips.

I qould give the guy a couple more yrs at least, or the owner's investments over the past fe yra re up in smoke. I don't think they shld start over yet.

CZ, you sound like a whiny loser.  I thought pick-plays are illegal but the Patriots do what every other team does.  They play to win and, if officials believe something is a foul, they call it a foul.  When Belichick got caught spying, do you believe that other teams were not doing the same thing?  How many team playbooks ended up in opponents' hands.

The Patriots are a very, good teams.  Belichick/Brady are a lethal combinations.  I heard a commentator say something about other teams will add some of the Patriots' plays into their arsenal next year.  Belichick is an innovator and the team is very good at performing his plays.
