So we'll skip speculating on what it might mean for Oklahoma's national championship hopes and just tell you that quarterback Landry Jones -- No. 9 on our recently completed CBSSports.com CFB 100 -- has become half of what shapes up as the Big 12's athletic "power couple," becoming engaged to Sooner women's basketball player Whitney Hand.
The couple announced the engagement via Twitter, with Hand telling her followers "thank you for all the sweet engagement wishes!"
Obviously, this isn't the sort of story that's exactly going to rock the world of college football.
